Ingredients

- 4-6 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith recommended)
- 1 cup sugar (brown sugar optional)
- 1-2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
- 1 cup rolled oats
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel, core, and slice apples. Toss with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice; let sit for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Spread spiced apple mixture evenly in a greased baking dish and sprinkle the crumble mixture on top.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until topping is golden brown and apples are bubbling.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
