Description

A delightful breakfast dish combining classic French toast with the deliciousness of cinnamon rolls.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans store-bought cinnamon rolls
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Maple syrup to taste
  • Icing from the cinnamon rolls


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup.
  4. Gently fold the cut cinnamon rolls into the custard mixture until well coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden and set.
  7. Drizzle icing over the top while still warm.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the night before and refrigerating. Serve with fresh berries or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
