- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth and combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and cinnamon; gradually mix into the wet mixture.
- Drop dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- While cookies are baking, whisk together powdered sugar and a splash of milk until smooth for the glaze.
- Once cookies are cool, drizzle the glaze over the top and let it set for a few minutes.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for thicker cookies. Customize the glaze with a pinch of salt or extra vanilla.
