Description

A delightful mashup of classic cinnamon rolls and cookies, featuring a soft and chewy texture filled with a sweet cinnamon-sugar swirl and topped with a creamy glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
  • 2-3 tablespoons Milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mix, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  7. Spread half of the dough, sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar, and roll it up.
  8. Slice the rolled dough into thick rounds and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  9. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  10. Let cool and whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze before drizzling on top.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for easier mixing. Chill the dough if it feels too soft.
