Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Brown the Butter: Melt unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown (5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Mix Sugars: In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and granulated sugar. Add brown butter and mix well.
- Add Eggs: Crack in eggs and add vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Chill the Dough: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop and Bake: Drop rounded balls of dough on the baking sheet, leaving space in between. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool and Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for the right texture and keep an eye on the butter while browning to avoid burning.
