Description

Chopped cheeseburgers are a fun twist on the classic favorite, loaded with flavor and perfect for any weeknight meal or gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 cup medium cheddar cheese (or provolone/American)
  • 1 medium sweet onion (diced)
  • 4 burger buns (brioche or whole grain)
  • Ketchup and mustard (to taste)
  • Pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and brown the ground beef. Stir occasionally until cooked through.
  2. Add diced onions to the skillet and cook until soft and slightly caramelized.
  3. Sprinkle your choice of cheese over the beef and onions, then cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  4. Toast the burger buns in a separate pan or on a griddle until golden.
  5. Scoop the beef mixture onto the toasted buns and add your favorite toppings and condiments.

Notes

Don’t overcook the beef and use good-quality cheese for the best flavor. Personalize your toppings for added variety.
