- 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang.
- In a bowl, stir together graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Sprinkle sweetened shredded coconut evenly over the crust.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Pour and spread the melted chocolate over the coconut layer.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until the chocolate is set and edges are lightly browned.
- Cool completely in the dish before lifting out the parchment paper and cutting into squares.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use dairy-free chocolate chips and coconut milk instead of sweetened condensed milk. These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
