Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease your muffin tin lightly.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and egg, mixing until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, saving some to sprinkle on top.
- Fill each muffin cup about halfway with the dough.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading. Don’t overbake; they should be soft in the middle.
