- 8 cups stale bread, cut into cubes
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly toast the bread cubes on a baking sheet for about 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Add the toasted bread and chocolate chips to the custard mixture, gently stir until coated, and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm, optionally with cream or ice cream.
