Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then gently mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Take a small section of cookie dough, flatten it, and place a scoop of cheesecake filling in the middle. Wrap the dough around it and roll into a ball.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are set.
- Let cool on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For better shape, chill cookie dough for 30 minutes before baking. Can substitute with gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option.
