- 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 can French fried onions for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, green beans, sautéed onions, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle French fried onions over the top.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can prepare this casserole in advance and store it in the fridge overnight. Great for making use of leftover roast chicken and adding your favorite vegetables.
