Description

A creamy, cheesy comfort food favorite that brings a blend of cheeses together for the ultimate indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then stir in the cream cheese until melted.
  3. Slowly add the milk, stirring continuously to keep it smooth.
  4. Gradually stir in the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese until melted into a creamy sauce.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
  6. Drain the cooked pasta and pour the cheese sauce over it. Stir until well coated.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with more cheese if desired, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

Keep the pasta al dente to prevent mushy mac and cheese. Grate cheese from a block for better melting.
