Description

A scrumptious fusion of taco flavors wrapped in soft, golden dough. Perfect for family dinners or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 2 tablespoons Taco Seasoning
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1 package Pillsbury Crescent Dough
  • ½ cup Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add taco seasoning and a splash of water, stirring until well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and pinch the seams together to create a solid piece.
  4. Spread the cooked beef mixture down the center of the dough. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  5. Cut slits on each side of the filling, about two inches apart. Fold over the dough strips alternately to create a braid.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes, slice it up, and serve with your favorite toppings!

Notes

Don’t overstuff to keep the braid intact while baking. Add chopped bell peppers or onions for extra flavor, and brush with egg wash for a beautiful shine.
