Description

A comforting all-in-one dish combining tender beef, broccoli, and fluffy rice smothered in cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional spices: paprika, garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the beef and sauté until soft and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and just tender.
  4. Mix in the rice, beef broth, and spices. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, until the rice is fluffy and liquid is absorbed.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

Notes

This dish keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days. For a creamier texture, add a splash of heavy cream before serving.
