Description
A delightful treat that combines warm apples and creamy cheesecake in a flaky pie crust, perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 package pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg, for egg wash (optional)
Instructions
- Core and slice your apples, then toss them with cinnamon and a bit of sugar in a bowl. Let them sit while you make the cheesecake filling.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and creamy.
- Roll out your pie crust and cut it into circles. Place a spoonful of the cheesecake filling in the center, top it with spiced apples, and fold the crust over to seal them up.
- Place your assembled pies on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once they come out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, drizzle with caramel sauce or dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Avoid overfilling. Try using different apples for varying flavors.
