Instructions

  1. Create the Cheesecake Filling: In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg (if using) until smooth and creamy.
  2. Prepare the Cookie Dough: Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
