Description

Delicious air-fried macaroni and cheese balls, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Boil the macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and seasonings. Mix until well combined.
  3. Once the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape it into balls about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Spray the basket with cooking spray and place the balls in a single layer. Spray them lightly on top, then cook for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Chill the mixture for easier handling. Adjust seasonings as desired. Do not overcrowd the air fryer to ensure even cooking.
