Description

A comforting casserole that combines the savory flavors of ground beef with the cheesy goodness of Cheddar Bay biscuits, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Toss in the diced onion and sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in a generous amount of cheddar cheese, saving some for topping.
  5. In a bowl, combine the biscuit mix and milk until it’s just blended.
  6. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a baking dish and pour the biscuit batter over the top.
  7. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
