- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup biscuit mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Toss in the diced onion and sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Remove from heat and stir in a generous amount of cheddar cheese, saving some for topping.
- In a bowl, combine the biscuit mix and milk until it’s just blended.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a baking dish and pour the biscuit batter over the top.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
