Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead until smooth—about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for about an hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat your cast iron skillet in the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a circle to fit your skillet.
- Remove the skillet from the oven, drizzle olive oil, lay the dough inside, spread sauce, sprinkle cheese, and add toppings.
- Bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes, slice, and enjoy!
