- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 sheet puff pastry (pre-rolled)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel, core, and slice the apples, then toss in a bowl with lemon juice and set aside.
- In an oven-proof skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Gradually add sugar, stirring until melted and golden.
- Arrange apple slices over the caramel and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Cook on the stovetop for about 10 minutes until apples are tender and coated in caramel.
- Roll out the puff pastry to cover the apples and tuck the edges into the skillet.
- Place in the oven and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden.
- Let cool for a minute, then invert onto a plate to serve.
