Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tart apples, thinly sliced (like Granny Smith)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press evenly into the bottom of the baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.
- Beat cream cheese in another bowl until smooth. Add eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla extract, and mix until completely combined.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly.
- Layer thinly sliced apples on top of the cheesecake filling, and drizzle caramel sauce generously over the apples.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes until the center is set but still slightly jiggles.
- Let cool in the pan and refrigerate for at least two hours before slicing into bars. Drizzle additional caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
For serving, consider adding whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or chopped nuts. Ensure you’re using room temperature ingredients for a smoother filling.
