Description

Delight in these creamy caramel apple cheesecake bars that blend smooth cheesecake with tart apples and rich caramel atop a buttery graham cracker crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 cups diced apples (preferably Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (162°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until it resembles wet sand; press into a greased pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth; add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gently fold in diced apples into the cheesecake mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture over the crust and bake for 35-40 minutes, until the center is set but jiggles slightly.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top; cool completely before chilling in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
  7. Slice into bars and serve with extra caramel and chopped pecans if desired.
