Description

Delicious cookies made with brown butter and toffee bits, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee bits


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir continuously until golden brown and nutty, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Transfer the browned butter to a bowl and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the brown sugar and granulated sugar with the brown butter until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the toffee bits until evenly distributed in the dough.
  7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them a couple of inches apart, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
