- 8 cups stale Challah or brioche bread, torn into pieces
- 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated or brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or nutmeg)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Tear or cut the bread into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until frothy.
- Place the bread pieces in a greased baking dish and pour the custard mixture over it, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
