Description

A warm and comforting bread pudding made with stale bread, milk, eggs, and spices, perfect for a cozy dessert experience.


Ingredients

  • 8 cups stale Challah or brioche bread, torn into pieces
  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated or brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or nutmeg)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Tear or cut the bread into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until frothy.
  4. Place the bread pieces in a greased baking dish and pour the custard mixture over it, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and set.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.
