Description

Warm and comforting bread pudding soaked in creamy custard, baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4-6 cups cubed bread
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut or tear the bread into bite-sized cubes and place in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the bread cubes, pressing down gently to soak. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  5. Grease a baking dish and pour in the soaked mixture, spreading evenly. Bake for 40-45 minutes until set and golden.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving, optionally with ice cream or powdered sugar.

Notes
