- 4-6 cups cubed bread
- 2 cups milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut or tear the bread into bite-sized cubes and place in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until combined.
- Pour the wet mixture over the bread cubes, pressing down gently to soak. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Grease a baking dish and pour in the soaked mixture, spreading evenly. Bake for 40-45 minutes until set and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving, optionally with ice cream or powdered sugar.
Notes
