- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh blueberries (or thawed frozen blueberries)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is incorporated before adding the next.
- Gradually add the milk and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing well.
- Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the blueberries.
- Divide the batter among the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- Layer and frost the cooled cakes with your favorite frosting and top with additional blueberries.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. If using frozen blueberries, keep them frozen until ready to fold in.
