A delightful twist on classic brownies with a creamy cheesecake layer and sweet blackberries.

- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 3 large Eggs
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Blackberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in granulated and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, and stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt before folding it into the wet mixture.
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth, mix in a bit of sugar and one egg until fluffy.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, spread the cream cheese mixture on top, and drop dollops of remaining brownie batter. Sprinkle blackberries on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
Use fresh blackberries for the best results, and be careful not to overmix the brownie batter.
