Description

A delightful twist on classic brownies with a creamy cheesecake layer and sweet blackberries.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Blackberries


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in granulated and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, and stir in the vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt before folding it into the wet mixture.
  4. Beat the cream cheese until smooth, mix in a bit of sugar and one egg until fluffy.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, spread the cream cheese mixture on top, and drop dollops of remaining brownie batter. Sprinkle blackberries on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  7. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

Use fresh blackberries for the best results, and be careful not to overmix the brownie batter.
