Description

Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies with a gooey center and crispy edges, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough balls onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges and soft in the middle.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for thicker cookies. Mix different types of chocolate chips for added flavor.
