- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough balls onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges and soft in the middle.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for thicker cookies. Mix different types of chocolate chips for added flavor.
