Description

A delightful dessert that combines sweet and tart flavors of apples with warm spices in a moist, fluffy cake.


Ingredients

  • 3-4 medium-sized apples, peeled and diced

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Blend granulated and brown sugars with eggs until light and fluffy in another bowl.
  5. Add oil and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  7. Fold in the diced apples and nuts if using.
  8. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
