- 3 Ripe bananas
- 2 cups Whole milk
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Crush graham crackers, mix with melted butter, and press into a pie pan. Bake until golden brown and let cool.
- Make the Custard: In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Layer the Bananas: Slice bananas and layer them on the cooled crust.
- Pour the Custard: Pour custard over the bananas, spreading it evenly.
- Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
- Whip the Cream: Whip heavy cream with a bit of sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread it generously over the pie.
- Garnish and Serve: Add extra banana slices or chocolate shavings, cut a slice, and enjoy!
Notes
Use fresh bananas just before serving to prevent browning. Chill the custard properly for the best texture.
