Description

A creamy and delightful Banana Cream Pie featuring a flaky crust, luscious custard, and fresh bananas, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Graham cracker crust
  • 3 Ripe bananas
  • 2 cups Whole milk
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Crush graham crackers, mix with melted butter, and press into a pie pan. Bake until golden brown and let cool.
  2. Make the Custard: In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Layer the Bananas: Slice bananas and layer them on the cooled crust.
  4. Pour the Custard: Pour custard over the bananas, spreading it evenly.
  5. Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
  6. Whip the Cream: Whip heavy cream with a bit of sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread it generously over the pie.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Add extra banana slices or chocolate shavings, cut a slice, and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh bananas just before serving to prevent browning. Chill the custard properly for the best texture.
