Description

A delightful dessert combining rich cake with the comforting flavors of fresh apples and a sweet crumb topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2-3 Fresh Apples, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter until fluffy. Add sugar and mix until creamy.
  4. Mix in eggs one at a time, then pour in milk until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in chopped apples.
  7. For the crumb topping, combine flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and a pinch of cinnamon until crumbly.
  8. Spoon the batter into a baking dish and sprinkle crumb topping on top.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, powdered sugar, or caramel sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
