- 2 cups crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3-4 apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, combine crushed graham crackers with melted butter and a tablespoon of sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan and bake for about 10 minutes. Let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add sour cream and vanilla.
- Peel and slice the apples, then toss them in a bowl with cinnamon and nutmeg. Layer them over the cooled crust.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the apples evenly.
- Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter in a bowl. Sprinkle this mixture over the cheesecake.
- Bake for about 55-60 minutes until the edges are set but the center has a slight jiggle.
- Let it cool at room temperature for an hour before refrigerating for at least four hours, preferably overnight.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce for the perfect finishing touch.
