Description

A creamy cheesecake topped with spiced apple filling and a crunchy, buttery topping, blending the flavors of fall in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3-4 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine crushed graham crackers with melted butter and a tablespoon of sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan and bake for about 10 minutes. Let it cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add sour cream and vanilla.
  4. Peel and slice the apples, then toss them in a bowl with cinnamon and nutmeg. Layer them over the cooled crust.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the apples evenly.
  6. Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter in a bowl. Sprinkle this mixture over the cheesecake.
  7. Bake for about 55-60 minutes until the edges are set but the center has a slight jiggle.
  8. Let it cool at room temperature for an hour before refrigerating for at least four hours, preferably overnight.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce for the perfect finishing touch.
