- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg yolk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the unsalted butter with granulated and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, ground almonds, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, mixing with a spatula until it forms a dough.
- Scoop out a tablespoon of dough and roll it into a crescent shape. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for about 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Once cool, dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for better texture; don’t overbake for a melt-in-your-mouth consistency.
