Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken Breast, sliced into tender-sized pieces
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Flour (or gluten-free alternative)
  • 1/4 cup Honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup Butter (or plant-based butter)
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, to taste (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Start by cutting your chicken breasts into tender-sized strips.
  2. Create the Honey Butter Mixture: In a small saucepan, melt the butter, then stir in the honey and minced garlic. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Set up a dredging station. First, roll your chicken pieces in flour, then dip them in the honey butter mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Make sure they’re fully covered!
  4. Prep the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Air Fry the Chicken: Place the coated chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Final Touch: Once done, drizzle any remaining honey butter over the top for that extra flavor kick.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the basket for even cooking. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking to lock in moisture.
